Ian Hu

As an Investment Analyst at Beverly Hills Private Wealth, Ian supports the firm's investment process through fundamental research, financial modeling, and due diligence across public and private markets. He works closely with the firm's Chief Investment Officer to evaluate individual securities and investment funds, applying a disciplined approach focused on business quality, valuation, and long-term value.

Before joining Beverly Hills Private Wealth, Ian conducted equity research at Ballina Capital, a concentrated, long-only value manager, where he covered international companies across a range of sectors and geographies. His earlier experience spans private equity, private credit, and impact investing, including work with the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group.

Ian earned his B.A. in Economics and Psychology from New York University. He is a Level III candidate in the CFA® Program and is fluent in Mandarin, Japanese, and English.

Outside the office, Ian plays guitar and violin, produces music, and enjoys snowboarding and photography.
