What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
Outside of work, my main hobby is spending time with my toddler. We share a love for exploring new experiences (including restaurants), creative play, and spending quality time with loved ones. The remaining limited free time is spent on Qigong, Spa days and other wellness related activities.
What is something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I believe financial literacy is a crucial life skill. Knowing the basics of money management such as budgeting and investing forms the foundation for financial stability. I embraced opportunities to teach financial literacy to a wide range of learners, including elementary students at Curtis School and adults at non-profit organizations like Upward Bound House, which supports homeless families in transition. These experiences deepened my commitment to financial education as a tool for empowerment and long-term stability.
How do you stay current and continue to learn in the constantly evolving field of financial planning?
I stay current in the evolving field of financial planning through a combination of structured learning, professional collaboration, and ongoing research. I attend webinars and industry conferences to stay informed on best practices. I also engage with peers and mentors to exchange insights and experiences, which helps me apply new knowledge in a practical context. In addition, I closely monitor updates to tax laws and retirement regulations that may impact clients’ goals.
What do you believe sets the BHPW team apart from others in the financial planning industry?
What sets the BHPW team apart is our unique ability to combine the institutional sophistication and resources of a large firm with the personalized attention, flexibility, and client-first approach of a boutique independent RIA. We focus on building multi-generational relationships, offering highly tailored financial planning rather than a one-size-fits-all investment model. The level of communication, collaboration, and the combined depth of experience within our team truly elevates the client experience and reinforces our commitment to long-term success.
What is a book or movie that has had a significant impact on you and why?
One book that had a significant impact on me is The Wealth Money Can’t Buy: The 8 Hidden Habits to Live Your Richest Life. It helped me reframe the concept of wealth to encompass more than just financial assets — emphasizing purpose, well-being, relationships, and personal fulfillment. This perspective has also shaped how I work with clients, encouraging a more holistic approach to wealth management that aligns financial planning with their broader life values and goals.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I’d choose Southern Italy. I’m drawn to the region for its incredible culinary experiences — especially the chance to bring home a bottle of locally produced extra virgin olive oil. I’d love to explore the breathtaking Amalfi Coast and immerse myself in history at archaeological sites like Sassi di Matera, one of the oldest continuously inhabited towns in the world. It’s the perfect blend of food, beauty, and culture.
