Scoliosis

What it is:
Everyone’s spine has a natural curve that rounds our shoulders and makes our lower back curve inward. When looked at head-on, though, the spine should lie in a straight line.

However, some people’s spines also curve side-to-side, making their spine look more like an “S” or “C.” This condition is called scoliosis.

Scoliosis is a manageable condition, but should be monitored as severe cases can cause back pain, deformity and even difficulty breathing.

Where it occurs:
Scoliosis is a condition affecting the spine.

The Symptoms:
Patients with bulging or herniated discs may experience:

Uneven shoulders
Protruding shoulder blades
Uneven waist
Elevated hips
