Radiculopathy

What it is:
Did you know that if your hand hurts, it could be because of a problem in your spine? This is because the nerves that travel to your hands – and every other part of your body – begin in your spine. If there is a problem at the root of the nerve, you can sometimes feel it at the end of the nerve. This condition is called radiculopathy.

Radiculopathy can be caused by several conditions, including herniated discs , subluxations, stenosis or degenerating discs.

Where it occurs:
Radiculopathy can appear in the:

	Neck (cervical spine)
	Low back (lumbar spine)
	Middle and upper back (thoracic spine)

The Symptoms:
Patients with disc degeneration may experience:

	Pain
	Weakness
	Numbness
	Electrical Sensations
